Resources
There are a lot of places on the internet where you can learn about asexuality, connect with other aspec people, find positive asexual media, etc. Please keep in mind that these resources are varied and full of many different people with differing identities and experiences. Their opinions are not necessarily my own.
  • The Asexual Visibility and Education Network (AVEN) - One of the largest sources for asexual resources on the interwebs
  • AZE Journal (formerly The Asexual) - An online forum for short articles, poems, art, and other creative expressions of various aspec people
  • Asexual Awareness Week and Aromantic Awareness Week, as the names imply, are events where asexual and aromantic people can connect, share their stories, etc. A lot of fandoms also have aromantic and/or asexual weeks for celebrating aspec characters, headcanons, fanworks, etc. and can usually be found on Tumblr.
  • This post on Tumblr highlights various novels that feature asexual characters; this one highlights aromantic characters. I plan on reviewing some of these books for the blog in future!
  • The TV Tropes page for asexuality lists a vast number of examples, both good and bad, where characters are portrayed as non-sexual. Keep in mind that TV Tropes is edited by users and may not be 100% accurate, but this list can serve as a great starting point (and fun fact - a fanfic series that I cowrote is on that list under fanworks!)
  • Also on the TV Tropes page is a Useful Notes section, which discusses a lot of the concepts I talk about on here and defines them in very clear, very helpful ways. A big thanks to my dear friend Laura for finding this and sharing it with me!

  • My blog header was inspired by the header of this Tumblr blog
  • All of my Star Trek pictures are obtained from Memory Alpha and/or TrekCore

Shout-outs
An enormous shout-out to my amazingly supportive best friends who road-tested the blog for me.

Likewise, a big thank you goes out to my good friend, frequent fanfic coauthor, and beta reader, Laura. She likewise has a blog, so if you're like me and history is your jam, please check out her quest to write about all of the historical markers in Pennsylvania. You can find her over at MarkerQuest - tell her Rachel sent you. ;)

Thank you to my other online friends who tested, encouraged, and are generally amazing people.
